Valet Attendant Position

Summary of position:

To successfully complete each parking shift without incident of customer dissatisfaction.

To assist customers and park vehicles in a manner which provides a safe environment for both customer and personnel.

Essential Functions:

  • Greets and welcomes customers by parking and retrieving patient's vehicles in a safe, timely and professional manner while securing and filing keys.
  • Provides directions and answers patient's questions as needed.
  • Accurately documents all vehicle tag information, claim numbers, and key storage location.
  • Smiles, greets and welcomes patients, customers, and staff.
  • Assist by opening all passenger doors, retrieve items from trunk and/or back seat, respect sensitivity and compassion at medical facility valet posts.
  • Perform Pre-Park Damage Surveys on all vehicles.
  • Park and retrieve all vehicles in a safe, timely and professional manner while securing vehicles and properly labeling and securing keys.
  • Follow driving routes specifically as directed maintaining a consistent pattern and sequence.
  • Fills available parking spaces as directed by supervisory personnel.
  • Accurately documents all vehicles as directed including license information, claim check numbers, and vehicle storage location.
  • Tracks available parking spaces by communicating with other attendants.
  • Protects vehicles by driving carefully.
  • Prevent unauthorized access to parking lot and vehicles and call police or security to apprehend trespassers as necessary.
  • Works as a team in keeping staging areas clear and maintaining smooth traffic flow in and out of the driveways/parking areas.
  • Preventing customers from parking where not directed.
  • Ensures that vehicles are returned in the same condition in which they were received.
  • Assists patients, customers, and staff by reminding them to lock vehicles; jump-starting batteries (when applicable); assisting with tire changes and lockouts; calling for road service; providing driving instructions from parking lot.
  • Provides directions and answers to patients, customers, and staff questions as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have valid driver's license
  • Must be 18 or older
